A warm autumn morning dawned in Roy, Utah on September 25th, where Nilson Homes employees attended in full force the ground breaking of this year’s Have A Heart Home. Representatives from the many contributors to this charitable home were present to express their gratitude and pleasure at working on such a worthy project. Speakers included Cal Musselman from the Weber/North Davis Association of Realtors, Bruce Nilson from Nilson Homes and Andy Blackburn, Roy City Attorney. Andy Blackburn had the honor of taking the first scoop of dirt from the home-site amidst cheers and applause from all who attended.
The Have A Heart Home project is a joint effort by Nilson Homes, All Home, Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association, Weber/North Davis Association of Realtors, and the Standard Examiner. The Have A Heart Home is a charitable home built mostly with donated supplies and man-hours and will go to a special needs family. This is the 2nd Have A Heart Home that Nilson Homes has had the pleasure to be a part of, and Nilson Homes is happy to have the opportunity to contribute to our community in such a positive way.
